DIRECTORATE CHANGE

green chemicals plc announces the following changes to its Board

of directors:

Dr. Rodney Adams is stepping down with immediate effect as a

non-executive director of the Company; Dr Adams joined the Board

upon the acquisition by the Company of Perachem Limited, at the

beginning of last year. The Chairman and the other Board members

would like to thank Dr. Adams for his assistance and advice over

this period.

Martin Richard Penny (55) has been appointed to the Board of the

Company; Mr. Penny will serve in a non-executive capacity.

Mr. Penny is the founder and group managing director of

Jemella Group, trading as GHD ("Good Hair Days").

green chemicals plc announced on 3 December 2007 that it had entered

into a letter of intent with Jemella Group concerning the UK

commericalisation of the former's hair colorant technology; on

3 July 2008, it announced that Mr. Penny had become a shareholder

of the Company through his participation in a placing of new

ordinary shares.

Welcoming Mr. Penny to the Board, executive Chairman David Norwood

said, "My colleagues and I are delighted that Martin has decided

to give green chemicals plc the benefit of his experience as a

successful entrepreneur in the hair and beauty sector. I believe

this will prove of great value in the drive to identify the most

prospective routes to market for the Company's proprietary permanent

hair colorant and hair colour removal technology, which represents

one of the three major planks of its current technology platform."

In accordance with the requirements of the PLUS Rules, the
